Q: How often will we be in contact?

We’ll have an initial meeting (around 60 minutes) to establish your goals, and after that, we can be in touch as much as you want via the messaging service in the app.

Q: How is this different to 1-1 personal training or the Fit Dad Alliance?

Online coaching is almost identical to the 1-1 personal training, except we don’t meet in person to train together. The Fit Dad Alliance is very similar to this online coaching program, except it includes a much higher level of accountability alongside a small community of other dads and weekly training calls.

Q: How does it work?

After the initial call, you’ll have access to the app where your programme will live. You follow the programme and the daily tasks. Each week ends with a ‘check in’ to track your progress and feedback/progression.

Q: Is online personal training effective for beginners?

Absolutely. Online training provides personalised plans tailored to your fitness level, with detailed instructions and support to ensure you progress safely and effectively.

Q: What if I have existing injuries or health concerns?

Your safety is paramount. We’ll talk about any health issues during our initial consultation and adapt your program to accommodate your needs, making sure that you’re doing exercises are safe and effective.

Q: Do I need access to a gym?

Not necessarily. Programs can be designed for home workouts using minimal or no equipment, depending on your preferences and goals.

Q: How soon can I expect to see results?

While individual results vary, many clients notice improvements in energy and mood within a few weeks, with significant physical changes typically occurring over 8-12 weeks with consistent effort.

Q: How long does the coaching last?

The initial programme is for a minimum subscription of two months (paid monthly). After that, if you wish to continue, the coaching is on a rolling month-to-month basis. Following the initial period, you can cancel anytime or stay as long as you like.

Q: Will I need to track my food? 

Tracking your food can be a helpful tool for understanding portion sizes and making better nutrition choices, so it is strongly recommended to begin with. I can also provide alternative methods like portion control or mindful eating strategies.

Q: Will I need to do lots of cardio?

Not necessarily. While some cardio can support fat loss and heart health, my programs prioritise strength training and smart nutrition to help you achieve a leaner, stronger body. Cardio can be added based on your goals and preferences.

Q: How much time will this take each day? 

You don’t need me to tell you how busy you are. Kids, work, ageing parents, house stuff, low energy, etc. My goal isn’t to make you busier, but give you strategies to enhance your life. Most workouts are designed to be efficient, taking 30-45 minutes, 3-4 times per week. Nutrition and habit changes are built into your daily routine without requiring extra hours of effort.

Q: Will I get muscly?

Unless you’re training specifically for muscle growth (bodybuilding-style training with a high-calorie diet), you’ll develop a lean, athletic look rather than bulky muscles. Strength training will help you build definition and tone without excessive size.
